Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”
Jesus most often healed people according to their faith. Here Jesus healed a man because of the faith He saw in others! In Matthew 8 Jesus was impressed by the faith of the Centurion. He healed the Centurion’s servant from a distance.
I want people, especially Jesus, to see my faith. I want my faith to be visible to others – not so I can receive praise from people – but from Christ! And besides, what would invisible faith be like? I’m not sure. Faith will always pop up, being fleshed out in our lives.
Father, I live for You today. I believe in You and want others to know that I am Your man. Forgive me of my sins and strengthen me for this life You’ve called me to.
