“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
Paul said in his Ephesians 3 prayer that God is able to do more… immeasurably more than allwe can ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within me. God’s power is working in me – I believe that – and it is most brilliantly on display when I am attacked by His enemy. When I am tempted to live selfishly and against God’s way, His power is strong as I yield to His Spirit and review Scripture. Jesus was mightily tempted (Matthew 4) and His response was, “It is written…” This same power, this same Spirit, this same Word on display in Jesus’ life is available to me today! God wants to do in my life more than can be measured according to this power; His power, that is at work in me.
Father – show Your power! Do Your will, have Your way in my life. Grace me to see the attacks of the evil one as opportunities for Your power and strength to be prominently displayed in my life! With excitement I embrace the “immeasurable more” promise for my life, the life of my family and the life of Norkenzie… and I look forward to what You will accomplish through Your power.
