3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
“In the world, but not of the world” is what Jesus prayed for His disciples. Being His disciple it makes sense that the weapons we fight with are not of the world. They are infused with divine power. Power to demolish strongholds and arguments and pretentions.
I am ready to demolish something evil… (my ’92 Suburban was stolen from outside of my house this morning – ugh)
Lord, help me to depend on You today and to fight with the weapons you give me. All for Your glory.
