22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
I certainly want to be like Job! Blameless, upright, a God-fearer who shuns evil (Job 1:1). And I want to praise God’s Name in the good and bad times, regardless of circumstances. If I can see that God’s hand is involved in it all and can trust Him throughout, relishing my relationship with Him – this would be best. This is the life of faith for me. Ultimately God will take me home to live in His Presence forever! The specifics of this life will fade… and I’ll know God’s perspective much better then.
Father – You are the Almighty God! Everything You do is good and for Your own eternal purposes. I submit to You, yielding everything to the Lordship of Jesus in my life. I do ask for Your provision and protection of my family – but regardless of what comes I will bless Your Name! There is no on like You. Thank You for making me Your son, adopted through the blood of Jesus. I come to You in His Name – amen.
