Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord. Psalm 150
Because of who He is (His greatness surpasses all others!) and because of what He has done (His acts of power demonstrate His grace and might!), God is to be praised.
Out in the fields and in His houses of worship, God be praised! If you have breath in your lungs, praise the Lord.
What is this life to be for me? I have heard the Good News of God’s grace and love for me that was demonstrated in the cross of Jesus. I have seen God’s creativity in the world and in the people He has created. What is my response?
I am to praise the Lord. With the breath He has given me, I am to breath and sing and crash cymbals and dance… need to work on the dancing… all of this as an expression of praise.
In my work and in my play. In my study and in my relationships – all of these things are to be praise to the One who created me and loves me completely in Jesus.
Father, You are good and Your love endures forever! I praise You for this day and for Your Word which speaks powerfully into my life. You are worth all that I have and I bring it for You today.
I thank You for Boise Bible College and all the loved ones here. I lift this ‘Spiritual Emphasis Week’ before You and ask that You visit us, Your people. Remind us of the primary place You deserve to have in our lives. Show Yourself strong among us and do great things. My confidence is in You! I live for You today. In and through Christ I pray…
